Bluffton - Ohio
Site Notes
Add site noteAutovon switch location Collapse/Expand
The Toledo Jct Autovon switch was maintained by Benton Ridge Telco and was not on the Bluffton AT&T site. It was located in a building owned by
Benton Ridge Telco at a location nearby and was connected to the AT&T site by underground cables. I worked at the Bluffton AT&T facility and know the
info that has been put out there about BRTC location has all been incorrect

AUTOVON (AE DMS200)
I think that this location is also the "Toledo Jct." site. The reason why I think this is as follows: There is a map file on coldwarcomms that lists all of the AUTOVON locations and their service providers. The Toledo Jct. site is listed as being operated by an independent firm. As it just so happens, the Benton Ridge Telephone Company had won an Autovon contract in the mid/late 1960's (1967 if I recall correctly). Benton Ridge is about 5 mi. northwest of this site. The building that now has the AT&T logo on it at one time also carried Benton Ridge Telephone Company markings. Any information on this site would be appreciated.
