Site was constructed sometime between 1965 and 1970 for AT&T then in 1982 the site was sold to MCI communications which removed the AT&T equipment from the site and brought in MCI equipment and installed Andrew horns on the tower (which is the original tower from when AT&T owned the site). When MCI merged with another company and became Verizon, the site was put into ownership by Verizon and Verizon had no use for the tower as it was too expensive to maintain and keep the tower lit at night and they decided to demolish the site in 2016.
