Baltic, Ohio - 5/15/23 Collapse/Expand
The site was constructed sometime in 1964 and began operation in 1965. The tower had 4 Western Electric KS 15676 horn antennas. two faced south to terminate to Dresden and thy other two faced north to Navarre. the long lines route was shut down in 1992 and most of the equipment was removed from the Baltic site and most waveguides were slashed off from the tower. Observations as of 5/15/23 show the building in good condition and the tower is now used for cellular. The tower no longer has its horns, the lower section of the horns that faced to Dresden are still bolted on the tower. The tower also appears to not have an aircraft warning light at the top so it might be just under 200 feet. According to a route map from January 1970, the route served from Columbus to Canton. The Dresden site was demolished and cleared away around 2018.
