This site is one of the other more interesting sites in the San Francisco Bay Area. The facility itself is two floors below ground. The only thing that exists above ground is a parking lot on top of the facility and the concrete tower.
The facility was a Maintenance Center for the area so there was a lot of floor space for offices and a training room. The site may have also been a stop on the coaxial transcontinental line. A rumor as to why it is underground had to do with aesthetics of the hills. ARCHIVED FROM WAYNE HAYES SITE
